About Sononline-ng
Why We Start With the Wiring
Sononline-ng is a kitchen remodeling company working mostly in the older neighborhoods of Bellevue, Washington. Lake Hills, Crossroads, Eastgate, Newport Hills. The houses there went up quickly in the 1950s and 1960s, on slabs and short crawl spaces, with small kitchens tucked behind a wall and electrical service sized for a very different way of living.
We did not set out to be the company that talks about panels. It happened because the same thing kept going wrong on kitchens in these houses. The design would be finished, the cabinets ordered, and then demolition would turn up a two wire circuit feeding half the house, a panel with no free spaces, or ceiling joists bearing down on the exact wall that was supposed to disappear. Every one of those surprises was knowable before anything was ordered. So now we find them first.
How We Work
Every job starts with a survey. We open the panel, trace the kitchen circuits, look at the wire in the walls where we can see it, and go up into the attic over any wall you want to remove. You get a written summary in plain language: what is fine, what is worn out, what the new kitchen will need, and roughly what that part costs on its own.
Only after that do we talk about layout, cabinets and counters. The design you see already carries the electrical and structural work in its price. The rough work is permitted through the City of Bellevue and inspected before the walls are closed. The same people who ran the wire are there when the cabinets go in, so nobody is guessing where a circuit ended up.
What We Will Tell You Straight
Sometimes the wiring is in better shape than people fear, and we say so. Sometimes the wall should stay, because the cost of a beam buys less than a better layout inside the room you already have. If a smaller job will do, we will price the smaller job.
